The much anticipated Muir, an Autograph Collection Hotel Halifax officially opened its doors a few days ago! Situated right on Halifax’s waterfront in the Queens Marque neighbourhood, it is the 8th out of 10 hotels that were due to open this year not including existing hotels that moved over to Marriott during the course of the year. The last two hotels, the W Toronto has been delayed even further to 2022 while the Pearle Hotel in Burlington looks to be opening tomorrow.
The Muir is a Category 6 hotel in the Marriott Bonvoy program which means a standard night is 50,000 points. However if you want to try it out over the Christmas break it does have Off-Peak pricing at 40,000 points a night. For example on December 28 it is only 40K points and the same room goes C$429 or 1.07 cents per point which just a notch above our 1 cent valuation.
