Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria joins Stash Hotel Rewards
Victoria’s Inn at Laurel Point is now the 14th property in Canada participating in this program for independent boutique hotels. Click here to learn more about this hotel.
It’s been quite some time since I’ve stayed at this hotel but it was a Rewards Canada family favourite in the past. The hotel has amazing views of Victoria Harbour and is within walking distance of many of downtown Victoria’s attractions.
With this program you earn 5 Stash Rewards points per US$1 on accommodations (not incl. fees/taxes). Redeeming points is dynamic but the rate runs around 100 points to US$1 and they also cover taxes and fees. For example if a room runs US$200 including taxes and fees the redemption rate would be around 20,000 points.

Load your weekly shopping offers
It’s Thursday! So you know what that means! Time to load all your personalized offers. My overall spend Scene+ grocery offers are quite good this week – earn 500 points for $50 spend at Sobeys and a separate one for Safeway. Odd though the email says it has to be loaded via the Sobeys and Safeway apps separately but they loaded in the general My Grocery Offers site. Nonetheless I did load them via each app to be safe.
I also saw perhaps one last hurrah from Metro and AIR MILES where you can earn 25 bonus miles for redeeming 95 Cash Miles for $10 off at the till.

American Express Centurion Lounge to open at Tokyo Haneda
American Express has announced they will be opening a new Centurion Lounge in Terminal 3 of Tokyo’s Haneda airport. The lounge is set to debut in 2025 and like all Centurion Lounges worldwide, will be accessible to Canadian Platinum Cardmembers. The lounge will be on the smaller side with an overall floor area of 622 square meters allowing for a capacity of 122 passengers. With Air Canada flying out of Terminal 3 this will be a great option for those flying AC out of HND.

Now, here’s a question I’ve asked before… how long until we see the first Centurion Lounge in Canada? If one ever happens I’m 99.9% sure it would be at Toronto Pearson as not only is the airport the busiest in Canada but the GTA also has the greatest number of Platinum Card holders.
