This is a relatively quiet year for new Marriott Hotel openings in Canada with only six new locations but we can actually add two more hotels to that list. Montreal will see two new hotels – the Residence Inn Montreal Midtown and Courtyard Montreal Midtown and we have to thank our reader Mike M. for letting us know about them.

When we completed our annual research into new hotels at the beginning of they year neither of these two hotels seemed to show up anywhere. Not on Marriott’s website nor did Marriott corporate mention them at all when we approached them for the list of new hotels. It almost seems like these two hotels came out of no where!
However, the hotels which are combined build are now listed on Marriott’s website. Their respective landing pages state opening in July but it appears the earliest date you can book for these hotels is September 11, 2022. The hotels are located pretty much right in between Downtown and Trudeau International Airport on Decarie Boulevard

Courtyard Montreal Midtown
The new Courtyard Montreal Midtown will feature 190 rooms on 6 floors and has a restaurant option called The Bistro. There is also an indoor swimming pool which I assume will be shared by the two hotels.
A quick check of Marriott Bonvoy free nights in the first few months of opening has those nights pricing at 22,000 to 27,000 points per night. This is well within the points range of the Free Night Award that comes on the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express®* Card and the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card

Wrapping it up
In just a couple of months Montreal will see two more Marriott locations open up – the Residence Inn Montreal Midtown and Courtyard Montreal Midtown. These two hotels along with the four others opening during the next month will bring the total number of Marriott Hotels in Canada to 269.
