March 25 Update: Aeroplan extends flight reward change policy, MyLenovo Rewards launches in Canada & an Amex Offer for ECCO Shoes

Here’s your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your near daily dose of
loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more.


Air Canada Aeroplan has once again extended their
flexible change policy for Aeroplan flight rewards. The extension now
sees Aeroplan waiving change fees on reward tickets until April 30,
2022 and the amount of changes you can make are unlimited. For bookings
made by April 30 but changed on or after May 1, 2022 you will have the
first change fee waived but any others after that will incur a fee.
Applicable change fees will apply to any new bookings that are made on
our after May 1. The program does seem to be adjusting these frequently
so it is entirely possible they will be extended again in the near
future.

 

  • For changes, you’ll pay the difference in points or receive a
    partial refund if your new itinerary requires fewer points. In
    addition, a difference in taxes, fees and charges may apply when
    changing your itinerary.
  • To make a change to a flight reward call the Aeroplan Contact
    Centre at 1-800-361-5373. All flight rewards must be changed at least 2
    hours prior to departure.

There’s a new loyalty program in Canada! Lenovo’s popular loyalty program in the U.S., MyLenovo Rewards,
is now available in Canada. When you sign up for the program you will
earn between 3-9% back in MyLenovo Rewards points on every purchase
made on Lenovo.com wth no minimum spend required. Those points can then
be redeemed at at rate of 1,000 points to $1 on future purchases. The
program also includes other perks such as:

  • Bonus rewards earned by completing polls, surveys and updating profile information

  • Rewards automatically appear on customers’ accounts for easy redemption

To celebrate the launch of the program in Canada, new members will earn double the MyLenovo Rewards on purchases made until March 31st.
In addition, members who enroll in the next two months will receive $10
in rewards with a $50+ purchase. As Lenovo is a partner of many online
shopping portals like Aeroplan’s eStore be sure to start your purchase
off via one of them so that you can earn in both programs (plus whatever
you earn on your credit card!)
