New Amex Offers for Marriott hotel stays in Canada – $50 to $100 statement credits that you can combine with other offers

Another day another Amex Offer and we love it! American Express is going full tilt this summer with exciting offers and promotions for existing cardmembers and new cardmembers alike. From this summer’s Shop Small promotion to the best ever sign up offers on 7 cards and accelerated earn rates to Discover Canada Hotel credits and now this offer specific to Marriott hotel stays in Canada.

There are two versions of this Amex Offer – one that appears to be for Ultra Premium cards and the one for all the rest of the Amex portfolio. The Ultra Premium offer provides a $100 statement credit for Marriott stays while the other offer is a $50 statement credit. Both offers are good for stays at Marriott Hotels in Canada until October 31.

Here’s the offer I received on my Platinum Card and

Spend at least $350 in qualifying purchases using
your registered Card at participating Marriott Bonvoy™ properties in
Canada, via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile application or at www.Marriott.com by 31/10/2021 and earn a one-time $100 statement credit. Registration cap applies. Terms apply.

Here’s the offer we received on our Cobalt Cards and Marriott Bonvoy Card:

Spend at least $200 in qualifying purchases using
your registered Card at participating Marriott Bonvoy™ properties in
Canada, via the Marriott Bonvoy™ mobile application or at www.Marriott.com by 31/10/2021 and earn a one-time $50 statement credit. Registration cap applies. Terms apply.

Surprisingly I did not receive this offer for the Gold Rewards Card and if you are in the same boat don’t worry – Amex has a registration link for the Spend $200 get $50 on their general Amex Offers page where anyone can go register their Amex card (including Scotia Amex cards) for the offer. The offer no longer shows up on Amex’s general page which leads us to believe it has hit the maximum number of registrations.

Now here’s the beauty of this offer – you can combine it with other offers. To begin with, the
Discover Canada Hotel credits that offer a $50 credit for spending $250 at hotels in Alberta, B.C., Ontario or Quebec. So pick a Marriott Hotel stay or stays (since the total spend can be cumulative for both the Discover Canada and Marriott Bonvoy offers) in one or more of those four provinces (be sure to register for all the offers right away) and you could easily walk away with up to $300 in statement credits if you can stay and spend $250 across all four provinces. At the very least I would think most people would be able to get $100 to $150 in credits with just one or two stays in one province. It doesn’t stop there however. The Marriott Bonvoy credit is for stays booked via Marriott which means you can book a bonus points stay, many of which we have been featuring here on Rewards Canada. Just in case you missed those posts here are all the current offers:

So not only can you earn statement credits and the points for spending on your American Express card but you can earn additional Marriott Bonvoy points over the base earn rates with any of those above offers. You can even book them via the links above (Rewards Canada earns a small commission for them so we thank you in advance if you do choose to book via our links) just make sure you register for all the Amex Offers before you pay for your stay! If none of those bonus offers listed above work for you, you can book any Marriott stay in Canada right here.
