Alaska Airlines has launched a new buy miles offer
that runs from today all the way through to August 26. The bonus ranges
from 40% to 50% depending on how many miles you buy. Ideally you want to
buy so you get that 50% bonus which means you’d have to buy 30,000 or
more miles. And when you do that – there is a special added bonus to
this buy miles offer. If you buy 30,000 or more miles they’ll offer you a
60% bonus if you buy miles later in the year between October 5 and 31.
We’ve seen a 50% bonus a few times from Alaska and even 60% as part of a
targeted mystery bonus over the past few months. There has never been
any bonus higher than 60% for Alaska miles and rightfully so as they are
very valuable currency especially now that there is confirmation of
Alaska Airlines joining oneworld by the end of the year instead of
summer of 2021.
With the 50% bonus you are buying Mileage Plan miles for 1.83 US cents each.
