Visa Infinite and Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders can enjoy extra savings at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal for stays of two or more nights. From April 1 to May 31 cardholders can receive 50% off the second night for stays of two nights or the third night free on stays of three nights. Then from June 1 to October 31 it is 50% off the third nights for stays of three nights or fourth night free on stays of four nights.
This offer must be booked via Visa Infinite or Visa Infinite Privilege concierge and even though you don’t have to pay until check out the terms state they must be paid with your Visa card. Therefore, I don’t know if there is a chance to sneak your Marriott Bonvoy Amex card in to pay for the stay at time of check out so you that you can earn 5x points. I mean, who knows, it may work – it really will depend on the front desk agent to see whether they enforce payment by the said Visa card. These bookings also have a relatively good cancellation policy of two days prior to check in.
