Canadian Tire Triangle Rewards and Petro-Canada Petro-Points announce new partnership
Canadian Tire released news last week about a new partnership they are entering into with Petro-Canada. This partnership will see over 200 Canadian Tire gas stations rebranded to Petro-Canada. More importantly for the readers of Rewards Canada the two companies will be creating a partnership between their Triangle Rewards and Petro-Points programs. Just like Aeroplan and Journie Rewards this new partnership doesn’t launch until the fall so there are not a lot of details available:
A partnership between two iconic Canadian brands’ loyalty programs, Triangle Rewards, with more than 11 million active members, and Petro-Points™, with more than 3 million active members, will deliver expanded benefits to Canadians. Each company will retain full ownership and control of its respective loyalty program.
Based on what other retailers have done with multiple loyalty programs one can assume that you will be able to pick which program to earn points with when purchasing gas or products at Petro-Canada and potentialy the opposite as well with being able to earn Petro-Points at Canadian Tire and associated stores. The same may hold true for redemption as well. I guess we’ll find out in a few months though!

Earn up to 5x points with select Aeroplan eStore retailers
In addition to the Aeroplan eStore discounts when mentioned yesterday, members can also earn up to 5x Aeroplan points for shopping at select retailers during the eStore’s Mother’s Day event. Some of the 5x points retailers include Sephora and lululemon. Click here to learn more.
Porter Airlines to offer non-stop Ottawa to Vancouver flights
Porter Airlines continues their cross country expansion with new flights between Ottawa and Vancouver launching on July 26. The daily flight will be operated with their Embraer E192-E2 planes featuring 2-2 seating and free in flight Wi-Fi. (Source Porter Airlines)
