Aeroplan partner Aeromar ceases operations

A heads up from our long time reader Davidd418 who let us know that Mexican regional carrier Aeromar has ceased operations. The airline recently became an Air Canada Aeroplan partner airline so if you happen to have an award ticket booked on Aeromar you should contact Aeroplan right away for alternative flight options. If you have a revenue ticket booked with them they may reach out to let you know what other options you have as some of the other Mexican carriers have stepped in to offer flights to affected passengers. As a last resort you can always request a charge back via the credit card you used to purchase your flight if you don’t receive a refund from Aeromar or are protected on another airline. Sneak Peek at the next World of Hyatt global promotion

According to this thread on FlyerTalk the details of the next World of Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion have been revealed. This next global promotion from Hyatt will apparently open up for registration next Tuesday (Feb 21) and award 3,000 bonus points after every two nights stayed between March 20 and May 26. Members must register by April 30. The bonus is awarded starting with your second stay which means if you have a two or more night stay at the start of the promotion it won’t count. Ideally, you’ll want to have a one night stay early during the promotion and then stays after that should start counting for your bonus. Members can earn a maximum of 45,000 bonus points each with the promotion.
