We have yet another newcomer in the already saturated credit card market here in Canada! The recently revamped moi program now has its own co-brand card issued by RBC. Wrapping it up
The newest co-brand card in Canada finds itself amongst big competition in the no annual fee category and I feel it falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. Its return of 0.8% to 1.6% on spending isn’t too bad. Some no fee cards are as low as 0.5% but others are as high as 2%. The card should make some in-roads primarily in the Quebec market where the Moi program has the biggest presence. Is it strong enough for some people to switch cards, probably not but I could see people adding it to their wallets just for the 2x points earn at the stores participating in the Moi program.
