Wrapping it up
One would think whoever is operating TD Rewards is also operating Air Canada’s Aeroplan! Both have strikingly similar reward tie ins to Starbucks and now both have similar tie ins to Uber. Yes, TD is the primary issuer of Aeroplan credit cards in Canada so to extend similar partnership to TD’s proprietary products seems easy and natural enough to do. This latest addition of free Uber One memberships is not only similar to the Aeroplan offers we have seen previously but now also challenge the long standing RBC Door Dash Dash Pass offer.
