UPDATE: It appears this offer may be dead now
There is a new offer out for instant IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status and a challenge to keep it. When you register for the offer you’ll receive Diamond status for 90 days and if you can complete 10 paid nights by Dec 31, 2022 you keep the status for 2023.
From what I can tell this was first published on Verylvke but has now been hitting most of the points and miles and blogs. The author of that site does also provide the warning this is supposed to be a targeted corporate offer. Since it is not meant to be a public offer like the Platinum promotion from earlier this year it could be pulled at anytime so register for it sooner than later. There is also no guarantee any of us will retain the status, IHG could very well reverse it from those who are not targeted.
I can confirm this even works for those who signed up for the free Platinum status earlier this year. My Platinum Status from that promotion was instantly upgraded to Diamond when I registered for this offer.
