Coast Hotels has jumped into the fray of fall systemwide bonus offers! They are offering 2x Coast Rewards points on all eligible stays from today through to the end of the year. The hotel chain has now grown to 37 properties in Western Canada and the U.S. including the Yukon and Hawaii where you can earn these bonus points at.

The beauty of this offer is that it doubles earn rates across all membership levels. These are the bonused earn rates per pre-tax dollar spent:
- Pink Tier: 2 points per C$ spent
- Purple Tier: 2.2 points per C$ spent
- Silver Tier: 2.4 points per C$ spent
- Gold Tier: 2.8 points per C$ spent
- Platinum Tier: 6 points per C$ spent
Utilizing Coast Rewards Points
Coast Hotels Stays
Coast Rewards recently changed their redemption structure for stays at their hotels. They have moved away from redeeming for a free night voucher to a points for a $ discount structure. This is similar to programs like ALL Accor Live Limitless and several other hotel chains.
The program now provides a flat $0.04 CAD redemption value per point when redeemed towards Coast Hotels stays. As soon as a member has a minimum 250 points in their account they can redeem that 250 points for a $10 credit towards their hotel bill.
Members can either check the “Pay with Points” box or “enter a custom amount of points” and enter the available amount of Points they wish to apply and redeem. The Member will be responsible for paying any leftover balance when they check out. Any remaining, unused Coast Rewards Points can be applied to a future reservation prior to their expiration.
With the double points bonus members are essentially earning 0.8 cents to 2.4 cents per dollar spent on their stays.
The great thing about this new redemption method is that you don’t have to wait until you have enough points to redeem for a free night. Now you can redeem them sooner and receive a discount towards your stay or if you do have enough points redeem them for the full charge of your stay and it will be free.
Convert to Aeroplan Points or Mileage Plan Miles
Coast Rewards points can be converted to Aeroplan or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan at a 1:1 ratio which means you are earning 2 to 6 points/miles per dollar spent on your stays. You do need a minimum of 1,000 points to convert to either of these programs.
The program also typically offers a conversion bonus to Aeroplan at least once per year, sometimes more. Earlier in 2022 it was a 3x bonus however we have seen it as high as 4x! If you are Platinum, earn the double points on your stays and then convert with a 4x points bonus that works out to 24 Aeroplan points per dollar spent! Fingers crossed that we see another 4x bonus!
Wrapping it up
Coast Hotels is offering 2x points for stays at their hotels for the remainder of the year. The bonus allows members to earn 2 to 6 points per dollar spent depending on their membership level. With redemptions starting as low as 250 points you could have enough points after simply one stay to be able to redeem them for a discount on a future Coast Hotels stay.
