Some of BMO’s credit card devaluations are now live

Just a reminder that some of the devaluations to BMO cards that we have been discussing on RWRDS Canada over the past few months went live this week. On February 3rd the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege* Card had it’s annual fee increased to $599 from $499 and that card along with the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card also saw changes to their annual caps where they moved from being a total overall amount for the accelerated earn rate categories to being split between those accelerated categories.

There will be further changes coming this May when the $15,000 spend requirement comes into play to get your BMO bank account credit card annual fee waiver.

Earn up to 10,000 bonus points with McDonald’s Want Prize With That? promotion

 

Earlier in the week McDonald’s Canada launched a new promotion called Want Prize with That? which works in the same manner as their famed yearly Monopoly promotion. The difference with this one however is that you can earn bonus MyMcDonald’s rewards points with the peel tabs off of the participating items.

They will awarded 2,000 points for every 5 codes that are scanned up to a maximum of 10,000 points (25 codes/peel tab) so make sure you don’t throw out those codes as you should be scanning them – not just for the points be even for prizes (I hit the jackpot with a free cheeseburger!)

Earn 2x points at Preferred Hotel Group hotels in Canada and Worldwide

I Prefer 2x points

A notable bonus points offer came out this week from Preferred Hotels Group I Prefer! While the program has a lot of bonus points promotions throughout the year, they rarely are systemwide offers like this one. Right now I Prefer members can earn 2x I Prefer points on eligible stays at all locations Worldwide including their 10 locations in Canada.
