30% rebate on Membership Rewards flexible travel redemptions

If you are someone who likes to redeem your Membership Rewards points towards any travel you book yourself check to see if this offer is available to you! For the month of August Amex will provide a 30% rebate on any points redeemed for travel purchases up to a maximum of 20,000 points back. Remember that Amex allows you to redeem points up to 12 months after a charge posts to your account so you can use this redemption for past travel that you have already paid for. This offer is available until August 31, 2024.

For me this offer shows up for my Cobalt Card but not for my Platinum or Gold Rewards cards (which both go into the same Membership Rewards Account). Let us know in the comments below if you have this offer and which card your received it on.

With the Cobalt Card the 30% rebate creates the equivalent of a 6.5% return for the 5x points earning.
