Air Canada Aeroplan has brought back a “points back” promotion for booking hotel stays with your Aeroplan points. Members can receive up to a 50,000 Aeroplan points rebate when registering for this offer and redeeming for eligible stays.
This time the tiered offer sees a further increase to the amount of points being rebated compared to this past spring’s offer which had already double the previous fall’s offer! Just like the spring version of the promotion, this one is also available on all eligible hotel bookings not just Aeroplan’s HotelSaver options – although the latter are typically a better option!
The up to 50,000 points back offer
Receive up to 50,000 Aeroplan points back when you redeem 40,000 or more points for hotels booked with Aeroplan points via Air Canada. Register & book by Sep 30, 24 for stays until Feb 28, 25.

- Redeem 40,000 – 79,999 points receive 10,000 points back
- Redeem 80,000 – 149,999 points receive 25,000 points back
- Redeem 150,000+ points receive 50,000 points back
Aeroplan Elite members will get an additional 2,500 points back when they redeem 40,000 points or more for a hotel stay.
This offer is available on eligible redemptions at any of the 300,000+ hotels offered via Air Canada. HotelSavers are available at over 7,000 of those hotels the which the airline has partnered with to offer Aeroplan members up 30% more value per point for hotel stays.

Wrapping it up
Aeroplan’s points back promotion for hotel redemptions has returned with a slight increase in the number of points required to be eligible for rebate but the rebates have been significantly increased over the last iteration of this promotion. Using Aeroplan points for hotel redemptions is actually a good option, it may not provide the value you can find for premium class flights but in the grand scheme of all things loyalty, they’re pretty decent and the rebate promotion makes it even better.
