The 30% transfer bonus to British Airways Executive Club for RBC Avion cardholders is back! This is the bonus level we had become accustomed since 2015/16 with only a single bump to 50% during the height of the pandemic in 2020. Since 2021 the bonus has been at this 30% level. Even though it may not be 50% the 30% is still a very good offer to consider taking advantage of.

Why this is a great offer
The promotion is an amazing deal as BA Avios are a great option for flights to the UK, Asia (via Cathay Pacific) as well as short to medium haul flights within North America on Alaska Airlines and American Airlines. Plus you have the famous option to fly between Toronto and Dublin for as little as 26,000 Avios round-trip
That means with this bonus you only need 20,000 RBC Rewards points to get that 26,000 Avios for the Toronto to Dublin flight. Compare this to the 65,000 points RBC requires to redeem for on ticket to Europe with their air redemption schedule! You can actually get three tickets to Dublin for less than that with this promotion!
Same thing for flights to the UK, you can redeem 50,000 Avios +$200 for a round trip economy class flight between Toronto an London on British Airways. That’s only 39,000 Avion Rewards points. Compare this to 65,000 Avion Points and $900 or more in fees when using the air redemption schedule!

As always though with any frequent flyer program you will have to be flexible in your options when redeeming due to seat availability issues (ie it may be hard to get tickets to Europe in Summer etc.) so take this into consideration before transferring.
