On my way back to Vancouver from Honolulu, I wanted to check out the newly reopened ANA Lounge. I have been to the United Lounge in the past at HNL and it wasn’t that great. Personally, I would avoid the United lounge at HNL in the future. I am glad that I heard about the ANA Lounge. My expectations of ANA products have always been high and this one did not fail.
View of ANA A380 from the lounge
The lounge is located on the second floor of the airport, which was right above Gate C4 for my Air Canada flight which made it so easy to enjoy the lounge before boarding.
I have a family of five, and one is under two years old. As an Air Canada Super Elite, I have Gold Star Alliance status, this allowed me and one guest access to the Star Alliance lounge. My wife has Air Canada 50K elite status and this allowed her to have the same access to the lounge, and our youngest entered without additional cost.
Check-In
After entering through the lounge door, there was a central desk where we were greeted by an excellent representative. Theey scanned our boarding passes and advised us that there was a family section at the end of the lounge with a play area for the kids to enjoy. There were two lounges at this location. On the left side was the ANA Lounge, and on the right side was the ANA Suite Lounge for first class travelers or ANA Diamond Service members.

The Lounge
This lounge was extensive, it has great views of the gates, where you can see the ANA A380 right outside! There were multiple sections with various seating arrangements and a family section. The lounge is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and drinks. If you have kids, they can run wild in the glass playroom without interrupting other guests in the lounge. The lounge wasn’t very busy during our visit as when we got there they has just begun boarding the ANA A380 was boarding. I would assume it probably was quite busy before we got there.

Food
There were plenty of food options during out visit including four hot dishes of chicken curry, meatballs, soup, and rice. There were also sandwiches, cold food, and snacks. At the bar you can have the bartender make you specialty drinks, for other drinks, you can pour it yourself (including beer). I enjoyed the meatballs and the curry chicken, the food tasted great in this lounge.

Wrapping it up
Overall, this lounge was great, as you would expect from an airline like ANA. I love how there is a kid section to keep them entertained. It also helps tire them out before the flight, so they can sleep ;-). I look forward to revisiting this lounge in the future.
