This year we managed to publish nearly 830 posts on the Rewards Canada blog which surpassed the record set in 2021 by a dozen posts. A lot of those posts were very popular with our readers but out of all them – which 10 came out on top? Read on to find out!
#1: Three months in and Scene+ doesn’t seem any closer to having a fix for their ongoing issues – time to start asking for compensation?
When Scene+ launched in late 2021 there were some, well, a lot of teething issues and based on the continued popularity of this post over the year I would say some people are still encountering issues.
#2: Best Ever Bonus for the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card: Earn up to 55,000 RBC Rewards Points!
The past couple of years have seen many record breaking welcome bonus offers one of which is on the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card. As one of Canada’s most popular travel rewards cards it makes sense that there was a lot of interest in this offer on the card.

Surprisingly, an article about a card that only a select few Canadians will receive an invite for was our third most popular post of the year!

#4: Big changes coming to the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card and other TD cards
In 2021 the TD First Class Visa Infinite Card was featured in our series on credit cards that could use an overhaul or revamp. In 2022 that happened with big changes taking place on the First Class Visa card along with some changes to a couple of other TD cards.

#5: Big news! Visa Canada switching lounge access from Priority Pass to DragonPass (which means access to Plaza Premium lounges!)
In the spring Rewards Canada broke the news of both Visa Canada and Mastercard Canada switching their lounge membership allegiance from Priority Pass to DragonPass. We had separate posts for both card networks and they were very popular with our readers.

#7: AIR MILES adding card linked offers for Save-On-Foods on September 22
It was big news when Empire Group announced they were moving their grocery drug stores away from AIR MILES to the Scene+ program. So when AIR MILES announced a card linked offer for Save-On Foods it proved to be very popular for those out west!

#8: Shoppers Drug Mart Biggest Bonus Redemption Event
For the past few years right around Black Friday Cyber Monday Shoppers Drug Mart has offered their Biggest Bonus Redemption event. This is where they give extra dollar value to the points you redeem for purchases. This year the offer proved especially popular on Rewards Canada!
#9 Aeroplan Terms & Conditions update
This post created a sense fear for some as the update to Aeroplan’s Terms & Conditions basically closed the door to gaming their credit cards. Primarily aimed at the credit card churning subset of the points & miles community, Air Canada has given themselves the authority (not just the card issuers) to close down Aeroplan accounts or take away points from those who frequently switch Aeroplan credit cards.
#10: Exclusive News: Up to 50% off Air France KLM business class reward flights
For the first time in several years Air France KLM offered 50% off business class reward flights out of Canada with their monthly Promo Rewards. Rewards Canada received the scoop early and with that we had the exclusive news to give to our readers a week before the promotion launched!
