These are the Promo Rewards that will be available for booking September 1 – 30 for travel completed by February 28, 2025
Montreal
25% off Air France Premium Economy and Business Class to Europe, Turkey or North Africa.
These should be the minimum redemption amounts available:
- Premium Economy Class from 26,250 miles one way
- Business Class from 37,500 miles one way
Ottawa
25% off Air France Business Class to Europe, Turkey or North Africa.

Quick Check on Promo Rewards Availability
Tip There have been technical difficulties with the monthly calendar view option where you would just leave travel dates blank to be able to see the calendar. Now to see the calendar you must select the very last day in the travel dates options (July 31, 2025) and then click search. This will force the system to populate the calendar view and then you can use the back and forward arrows to scroll through the months on display.
A quick search of one way business class availability (search conducted on July 31) from Montreal to Paris showed a fair amount of dates at 50,000 miles (which should price at 37,500 when these are loaded into the system) from October through to February Now Air France KLM availability changes by the minute so when the Promo Reward go live it could be totally different
For Montreal, Business Class was a quite a bit more sparse with dates showing 50,000 miles (which should price at 37,250 when these are loaded into the system) from October through to February.
Booking and travel period
These offers will be open for booking between September 1 and 30 and are good for travel between September 1, 2024 and February 28, 2025.

Transfer from American Express Membership Rewards
If you don’t have the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard your best option is to convert American Express Membership Rewards points to Flying Blue Miles. The transfers are typically near-instant but American Express does state they can take up to 3 days.
Membership Rewards points transfer at a 1 to 0.75 ratio to Flying Blue. Which means you’ll need to transfer as little as 100,000 Membership Rewards points for a round trip business class flight at 75,000 miles. To put this in perspective, Amex’s own Fixed Points for travel requires 140,000 points and a lot more cash for the taxes and fees for the same ticket. And with Aeroplan you are looking at 120,000 – 140,000 or more points for business class (120,000 to 140,000 Membership Rewards points).
Even with the 1 to 0.75 ratio this represents an absolutely amazing redemption option for your Membership Rewards points. This is especially true for the American Express Cobalt Card if you earned most or all of your points at the 5x level. That’s as little as $20,000 in spending for the business class ticket requiring 75,000 Flying Blue Miles (100,000 Membership Rewards points) There is no way you can even come close to getting redemptions like this for that little amount of spending with any other credit card in Canada.
