Here’s your Rewards Canada update! Your near daily dose of

Air Canada sent an email out yesterday to elite
members offering double Priority Rewards for the second half of 2022:
Finally, recognizing that most have already requalified for Status,
we’re launching a special offer to reward Elite members for their
travels through the end of this year. We’ll double every Priority Reward
you earn between July 1st and December 31st, 20222. As a reminder,
Priority Rewards give you 50% off every eligible Aeroplan flight reward
on Air Canada and any of our airline partners
Interestingly enough this offer came the same day (albeit later) that WestJet released
their Status Match offer. It could be strictly a coincidence but seeing
that Priority Rewards are only awarded on spend with Air Canada this
almost seems like a response to WestJet. By offering double Priority
Rewards AC is hoping to keep their members spending with them and not
moving their spend over to WestJet for the remainder of the year. Of
course this is pure speculation on my part.

Another targeted American Express Use Points for Purchases came out yesterday. I personally received this one on my Platinum Card
and provides 20% bonus points on redemptions of up to 10,000 points.
The offer is available until October 12. Check your email to see if you
