Those bonus Avios can be kept in your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account or can be transferred to British Airways Executive Club if the latter tends to be your more frequently used program.
Ideally when purchasing these tickets you’ll want to use a credit card like the HSBC World Elite Mastercard that earns 6 points per dollar on travel purchases which then translates to 2.4 Avios per dollar spent or the Platinum Card from American Express as it earns 2 points per dollar which translates to 2 Avios per dollar spent.
