Here are the Rewards Canada Top 5 Small Business Credit Card Sign Up
offers for this month! This is not a ‘best’ credit card
list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings
but instead a look at cards for small businesses that have very good
acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. As always when choosing a card
you should always take other factors into account other than the
just sign
up bonus, but when some of these cards are first year free, they
can and
do pay off even when you grab them strictly for the sign up rewards.
This month we see three first year free cards on the list! And remember
this list is based on minimum value towards travel which we calculate as
the minimum value of the welcome bonus less the annual fee. It is
entirely possible to receive more value out of the welcome bonuses on
all of these cards since they earn Aeroplan points – which can provide some huge outsized value rewards!
Here are our top 5 small business credit card sign up offers for July:
CIBC® Aeroplan® Visa* Business Card
Minimum value: $1,200
CIBC’s
equivalent of the above TD card has a new offer this month that provides up to 60,000 Aeroplan points, a
Buddy Pass and an annual fee
rebate. All told the
points and buddy pass are worth no less than $1,500 in our minds and in
reality should be worth much more than that.
CIBC® Aeroplan® Visa* Business Plus Card
Minimum value: $1,200
The
lower fee version of CIBC’s Business Aeroplan cards also provides
up to 60,000 Aeroplan points, a
Buddy Pass and an annual fee
rebate. All told the
points and buddy pass are worth no less than $1,500 in our minds and in
reality should be worth much more than that. The main difference between
the non-Plus and Plus is the annual fee being lower but you need to
meet more stringent application requirements.
TD® Aeroplan® Visa* Business Card
Minimum value: $900
This
card is offering up to 60,000 points in the first year with the card. On top of that there is no annual fee in the first year if you
apply by September 5, 2022. The points combined provide a value
of no less than $900 and since there is no fee in the first year you can realize the full value of those points. To earn the full 60,000 points make sure you can
spend $5,000 on the card in each month for the first 12 months of having the card.

American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card
Minimum value: $676
In
the first year with this card you can earn up 85,000 Aeroplan Points
with this card. The points are worth $1,275 and take away the $599
annual fee and you have no less than $676 in value with this card! For
most you should be able to get even more value out of that since we are
valuing Aeroplan points at 1.5 cents each and it easy to get that above
2 cents. Add in the extras this card has like Maple Leaf Lounge access,
strong earn and a spend based companion pass make this card a must for
small business looking to earn Aeroplan points.

TD Business Travel Visa* Card
Minimum value: $600
This
card is offering up to 150,000 points in the first year with the card.
On top of that there is no annual fee in the first year if you
apply by September 5, 2022. The points combined provide a value
of no less than $600 and since there is no fee in the first year you can
realize the full value of those points. To earn the full 150,000 points
make sure you can
spend $5,000 on the card in each month for the first 12 months of having
the card.

If you went for all these cards you ultimately could end up with over $4,500 in travel credits but even if you only take
on
one or two you are helping your travel budget significantly at no cost
other than regular credit card spend. We don’t really recommend getting
all five in one month unless you know you can meet the minimum spend for
them all at once, rather you’d want to pick one or two right now,
perhaps another next month and so on.
