Earn up to 50,000 Bonus Aeroplan Points and pay no annual fee in the 1st year with the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card

In March, TD’s Aeroplan co-brand cards moved to a points only
bonus instead of points + bonus buddy pass which made a lot of
individual travellers happy as for the better part of 18 months the
welcome offer on this card offered less points but also a Buddy Pass.
Well if you don’t travel with a companion that Buddy Pass didn’t provide
any value for a solo traveller.  That being said, this new offer isn’t
just for solo travellers – this offer is just as great for couples,
families or whomever, it’s just that the old Buddy Pass offer was more
conducive for non-solo travellers.

In this post we cover the current offer on the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card
and right now when
you apply for the card by September 5 2022  you can receive up to
50,000 Aeroplan points and have the first year annual fee rebated on the
primary as well as additional cards! This offer is not
available for residents of Quebec. For Quebec residents, please click here.

Once
approved you’ll get
10,000 points right off the bat when you make your first purchase on the
card then if you spend $1,500 on the card in the first 90 days of
having it you’ll receive an additional 20,000 points. The next 20,000
Aeroplan points come when you spend $7,500 within 12 months of Account
opening so as you can see they have attached more a spend component but
it’s not a huge spend requirement if you do spread it out across your
first year. The last points are awarded as an anniversary bonus. All
told those 50,000 points are worth no less than $750 as we value
Aeroplan points at 1.5 cents each however most Aeroplan members should
be able to extract more value than that especially if redeeming for
business or first class flights.

Now that we’ve covered the welcome offer let’s look at what the card offers as it’s standard earn rates and benefits:

The
card itself earns 1.5 Aeroplan points per dollar spent with Air
Canada (including Air Canada Vacations) It also earns 1.5 Aeroplan
points for grocery and
gas station purchases and all other purchases earn 1 Aeroplan point per
dollar spent on the card. This is a good earn rate for a non Amex card
and the fact that it is a great all around Air Canada and Aeroplan
benefits card.
