We have been advised that the current welcome bonus offer on the Scotiabank Gold American Express card
will now end on June 29 instead of July 4. The offer provides a bonus
of up to 45,000 Scene+ points. At this point in time we have not yet
been told what the new offer will be as of June 30. However with the
revamp of the Platinum Card and the Red Amex cards from Scotia happening
in June we feel there will be a focus on those card rather than the
Gold so if I was to guess I would say the offer on the Gold will either
remain the same or be lowered. But remember that’s just a guess on my

Last year Oman Air announced their intention to join
oneworld and news came out today making that official. The airline
announced they will join the alliance by 2024 as Qatar Airways has
sponsored their membership. Even though airline does not fly to Canada
it is good news for Canadians as you’ll have more options to earn and
redeem points if you do fly on Oman Air (They do fly to London). Right
now the airline is partnered with Air Canada’s Aeroplan so you can earn
and redeem for Oman Air flights and then once the airline joins oneworld
you will be able to do the same with two other programs popular for
Canadians, British Airways Executive Club and Alaska Airlines Mileage

This past weekend saw the release of Disney Pixar’s LIGHTYEAR movie
and to celebrate it Accor Hotels’ Novotel brand has a special activities
for families staying at their hotels. There are 5 Novotels to choose
from in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto that you can book your stays at and
be immersed in the movie during that stay:
Participating Novotel locations will feature a series of
out-of-this-world activities for visiting families. Upon arrival, kids
will be surprised with an assortment of LIGHTYEAR coloring
cards, games, stickers and upon request, a star projector that will

activities, and will also offer guests a chance to attend a private
screening of LIGHTYEAR.
