We have a new credit card review on the main Rewards Canada site! We now review the American Express® Business Gold Rewards Card
which has been a mainstay in American Express’ Small Business card
portfolio for quite sometime now. The card underwent some slight
changes in 2021 that saw its bonus earn rate structure change, had its
annual fee decrease and had mobile device insurance added. So let’s

More Rewards is offering 50% back in points when you
redeem for select dining gift cards and Sandman Hotels gift cards.
Those cards are for a Chop $25 card, Shark Club $25, Denny’s $15 card
and Sandman Hotels $50 card. The $25 gift cards are normally 10,000
points which means you’ll get 5,000 points back while the $15 card is
normally 6,000 points so you’ll get 3,000 back. For Sandman it is 26,000
points for the $50 card which means you would get 13,000 points back.
Redeeming for the dining cards means you are getting a 0.5 cents per
point value which is actually higher than the best everyday redemption
of travel at 0.42 cents! The Sandman card works out to .38 cents per
point which isn’t too far off the travel redemption rate but you might
be better off just booking a Sandman Hotel via More Rewards Travel and
