Here’s your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your daily dose (or near

portfolio sees the MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard switched out to
the HSBC World Elite Mastercard. This is primarily due to three reasons,
the HSBC card offers No FX fees and has the $100 annual travel
enhancement credit plus the conversion option to British Airways, Cathay

there are some of the same ones as before such as Subway and Indigo but

WestJet has received approval to codeshare on long
haul flights to Switzerland from the Canadian Transport Agency. The
question is who will they code share with? I’m pretty sure it won’t be
SWISS as they are tied in with Air Canada and Star Alliance . If I was to
guess it might be leisure carrier Edelweiss Air who flies summer
seasonal service to a couple WestJet’s big hubs, Calgary and Vancouver, even though Edelweiss is owned
by the Lufthansa Group. I thought perhaps an extension of KLM and Air
France code-shares out of Amsterdam and Paris but the wording in the agreement “a scheduled
international service, large aircraft” makes me think otherwise. Anyone
have any other ideas or perhaps insider knowledge? (Source CTA)
