This offer provides members of Avis Preferred (free to join)with a free rental day for every two rentals of two plus days. This offer runs until Feb 28, 22. Yesterday we brought you the news that Air Canada
will be ending the option to convert Buddy Passes obtained from select
co-brand cards to Aeroplan points. In that post we said it could be
possible that there would be time to get the TD cards
with Buddy Passes but we are getting a lot of data points from our
readers that really it would be next to impossible that you could. Even if
you meet your minimum spend right away we have heard story after story
that TD will not award the Buddy Pass until 8 weeks after the initial 90
day spend requirement. That puts the posting of the Buddy Pass for any
new applications for the TD Cards well past November 30. Not a big deal
if you intend to use the Buddy Pass for what it’s meant for – that is
travelling with a companion but for solo travelers or those looking to
boost their Aeroplan points balances you should consider Amex or CIBC as they post their buddy passes shortly after you hit your spend requirement

Back in July Flair Airlines announced they will
serve six U.S. cities from a variety of Canadian departure points. At
the time all the details were not revealed as to what the actual routes
would be (which U.S. city would be served from which Canadian city) but
Flair has now published the routes:

  • Hollywood Burbank LA (BUR) from Vancouver (YVR) and Edmonton (YEG)
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL) from Toronto (YYZ) Kitchener-Waterloo (YKF) Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL)
  • Las Vegas (LAS) from Toronto (YYZ) Ottawa (YOW) Vancouver (YVR) Abbotsford (YXX) Calgary (YYC) and Edmonton (YEG)
  • Orlando Sanford (SFB) from Toronto (YYZ) Kitchener-Waterloo (YKF) Ottawa (YOW) Montreal (YUL) and Halifax (YHZ)
  • Phoenix-Mesa (AZA) from Toronto (YYZ) Vancouver (YVR) Calgary (YYC) and Edmonton (YEG)
  • Palm Springs (PSP) from Vancouver (YVR) and Edmonton (YEG)
