Here’s your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your daily dose (or near
daily dose) of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses,
deals and more. This update is brought to you by the HSBC World Elite Mastercard which is currently offering a welcome bonus of up to 70,000 bonus points and no annual fee in the first year! 

TD is offering a 25% discount when you redeem TD Rewards points earned on cards like the TD First Class Travel Visa card for gift cards and merchandise. This offer runs until July 30, 2021. There is an additional offer of an extra $10 back if you redeem for Home Depot gift card by June 18. Learn more here.

 


For example you can redeem 7,500 TD Rewards points for a $25
Apple gift card instead of the regular 10,000 points. That works out to
about .33 cents per point and since the First Class Visa earns 3 points
per dollar spent you are at a 1% return. This is less than the 1.5% for
redeeming for travel via ExpediaForTD or the 1.2 cents for redeeming
for any travel or paying for education via HigherEdPoints. Still a 1%
return cash back wise isn’t a bad deal and is good if you don’t have any
plans for travel.
