Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members to receive 50% elite night credits, will offer a double points/elite credit promotion & a discount on off peak redemptions

Marriott just announced they will once again be giving a boost to their elite members to make re-qualifying for status easier during these depressed travel times. This February all elite members will receive elite night credits equal to half of what it would normally take to earn the same status they currently have.

Here are the amount of nights you can expect to be credited next month:

2020 Elite Level  # of nights being credited
 Silver      5 Nights
 Gold  13 Nights
 Platinum      25 Nights
 Titanium      38 Nights
 Ambassador      50 Nights

As all elite members have already had their status extended
to February 2022 these extra nights should hopefully get you to a point where you have status for all of 2022 and they are also a boost to potentially get you
to that next elite level. On top of that these nights do count towards
lifetime status within the Marriott Bonvoy program. For Ambassador status the US$20,000 spend requirement is also being lowered to $14,000 during 2021.

If you have the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card or the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card you’ll receive your 15 night credit as well over and above what Marriott gives you for your current status.

We also learned today that Marriott’s first systemwide promotion of 2021 will launch on February 16th and it will offer double points and double elite night credit for each stay of 2 or more nights. This offer will run until April 27, 2021.

Finally in today’s announcement from Marriott they will be providing an additional 10% discount on any free night redemptions made at the Off-Peak level. Bookings must be made by February 21 for stays until September 30, 2021.

Visit Marriott.com for more details (there aren’t any dedicated landing page for these offers just yet btw)
