February 5 Update: Turkish Airlines Vancouver route now open for reservations, new Amex Offer for Wayfair and 10 new bonus offers

Back in October Turkish Airlines revealed they will
start flying to Vancouver from Istanbul in 2020. We now know the
schedule and aircraft for the route and that it is now open for
reservations (at least for cash bookings). The first flight will take
place on June 9 and operate 3x weekly with a Boeing 787-9. Turkish
Airlines is a Star Alliance member which means it is a great option for
Aeroplan members to utilize for flights to Europe, the Middle East,
Africa and Asia. In fact, maybe you’ve seen Turkish’s recent Super Bowl
commercial that reiterates the airlines flies to more countries
worldwide than any other airline. However at the time of posting this
flight was not showing up at all in some Aeroplan and United MileagePlus
searches we conducted. All routing from YVR to IST had the routes
connecting via Montreal. It is possible if you call in that Aeroplan may
be able to find it but with the system switch over there are still
super long wait times to get ahold of an agent. (Source Routesonline)
