WestJet Rewards officially nixed their 5 year
expiry rule from the program last week. Although many were unaware that
this rule was in place, it was, but the good news is it’s gone now. No longer
will WestJet dollars expire 5 years after the year they have been earned in. Of note
however is special limited time promos such as when WestJet places a
50 WestJet dollars gift in your account for booking with a few days will
still expire as those fall under different terms as incentive bonuses
rather than dollars you received from earning actions. WestJet will continue to have their 24 month inactivity rule in place. Be sure
