TAP Air Portugal is once again in the midst of offering a worldwide seat sale that also includes their flights from Toronto and Montreal. Economy Class tickets to Lisbon and other cities in Portugal from Toronto are coming in under $500 for the most basic fare but what is really noteworthy are the business class fares can be had for just under $1800 for round trip flights!

Economy Class
Here is an example of an economy class booking in their discount fare class (the cheapest bare bones fare) between Toronto and Lisbon:
It comes in at $478.46 including all taxes and fees. This fare only includes your carry on bag and nothing else. Should you want to check luggage I suggest going for the next fare up as it ends up being cheaper than going with the discount fare and adding the baggage option:
The basic fare goes for $658.46 which is $180 more than the discount fare. However with baggage fees running $110 per direction you will end saving $40 by buying the one fare higher. There is still no seat selection offered with the basic fare but you can select those for free during online check in.
Business Class
Now this is where we are talking business – literally. The business class fares with this sale are rock bottom. Yes, TAP is no longer flying their A330’s to Toronto (at least not on the days we searched) however their A321Neo aircraft still have lay flat business class seats (including throne seats) and full business class service. And to get it for just under $1800? That’s amazing.

This is round trip Toronto to Funchal, business class both directions for a total of $1798.06. That’s a steal of a deal.
Earning Points/Miles
You can choose to credit these flights to TAP’s own Miles&Go program or as the airline is a Star Alliance partner you can credit them to Air Canada Aeroplan or any other airline in the alliance.

The economy class seat sale fares are pretty good, similar to what we have seen from other airlines like Aer Lingus but the business class fares are truly the spotlight here and worthy of checking out!
