Disgruntled Delta SkyMiles Elite member? Match your status with Alaska and Jetblue!
Alaska Airlines and JetBlue are looking to capitalize on the recent Delta SkyMiles changes that has many SkyMiles members unhappy with the program. If you hold status with Delta you can receive a limited time status match with both Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and JetBlue TrueBlue. To maintain status with either of the programs for 2024 you’ll need to fly with the airlines and meet the reduced status qualifying amounts. You can also receive the status to the end of 2024 if you have a co-brand credit card for the program. Both airlines do not have Canadian co-brand cards however if you are playing the US credit card game that option is open for you.
Alaska Airlines:
Delta SkyMiles elite members will have their status matched in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program for 90 days and that can be extended through to the end of 2024 by getting an Alaska Airlines credit card or completing a flight challenge. Submissions for the status match must be submitted by October 31, 2023. Click here to learn more and to match your status
If you don’t have or don’t get an Alaska Airlines credit card you must meet the following requirements within 90 days to have your status extended:
- MVP status — fly 5,000 miles on Alaska
- MVP Gold status — fly 10,000 miles on Alaska
- MVP Gold 75K status — fly 20,000 miles on Alaska
JetBlue:
Delta SkyMiles elite members will have their status matched in the JetBlue TrueBlue program for the remainder of 2023 nd that can be extended through to the end of 2024 by getting an JetBlue credit card or completing a flight challenge. Submissions for the status match must be submitted by October 31, 2023. (Max of 30,000 applicants) Click here to learn more and to match your status
If you don’t have or don’t get a JetBlue es credit card you must meet the following requirements by December 30, 2023 to have your status extended:
- Silver Medallion = 6 tiles to keep Mosaic 1
- Gold Medallion = 12 tiles to keep Mosaic 2
- Platinum Medallion = 24 tiles to keep Mosaic 3
- Diamond Medallion = 30 tiles to keep Mosaic 4

Marriott launching new Four Points Express by Sheraton brand
Marriott is launching yet another brand of hotels called Four Points Express by Sheraton. This will be a mid-scale brand that will be found in .Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The first of which will be the Four Points Express by Sheraton London Euston opening in 2024. This brand will not be featured in Canada as the Marriott already has plans for another midscale brand in North America called StudioRes. Click here to learn more.
