Air France KLM Flying Blue to stop awarding elite status qualifying XP & miles on non-SkyTeam Airlines
Air France KLM Flying Blue sent an email to members advising of some changes coming to the program in April 2024. The program will no longer award elite status qualifying XP and elite mileage bonuses on non-SkyTeam airlines. For most Canadians this means that if you have been crediting your WestJet flights to Flying Blue to help you achieve status those flights will no longer count as such as of April 1, 2024:
As of 1 April 2024, XP and Elite mileage bonuses will only be credited on flights operated and/or marketed by Air France and KLM** as well as all our SkyTeam partners, Flying Blue participating carriers Transavia and Aircalin, and Air Corsica flights between Paris-Orly and Corsica.
You will continue to earn XP and Elite mileage bonuses on Air France and KLM marketed codeshare flights, even if they are operated by a non-SkyTeam airline.
Flights marketed and operated by our non SkyTeam airline partners are still eligible to earn Miles, but you will no longer earn XP or Elite mileage bonuses.
