RWRDS Daily Update – November 8, 2023

Rodd Hotels revamps their EveryStay Rewards program – some locations will require more points for free nights

PEI’s Rodd Hotels & Resorts has revamped their EveryStay Rewards program. The changes took place as of November 1st and are as follows:

Increasing from two tiers for point redemption to three:
- Tier 1 – Moncton, Royalty & Grand | 1,500 points to redeem free night
- Tier 2 – Charlottetown & Miramichi | 2,000 points to redeem free night
- Tier 3 – Brudenell & Crowbush | 2,500 points to redeem free night
Revamped the rewards for each level, bringing them more in-line and standardized no matter which property you stay at. These rewards are outlined on the main EveryStay Rewards webpage.
Points cannot be redeemed at check-out, you will need to advise at the time of booking or during the check-in process that you are wanting to use points towards your stay.
EveryStay Rewards points will now expire after 36 consecutive months of inactivity.

The new third tier for the two PEI resorts (Brudenell & Crowbush) with its 2,500 points requirement represents a 25% increase as these locations used to be 2,000 points per night. It also appears Charlottetown has been increased from 1,500 points to 2,000 points per night (a 33% increase). I’m not 100% sure about Miramichi, if it is considered a resort than it was 2,000 points previously but if not it has also been increased from 1,500 to 2,000 points per night.

New Amex Offers statement credit for Dell purchases

Personally I received this offers on The Platinum Card from American Express however you may receive it on a different card.

Icelandair returns to Halifax

Halifax is really feeling the love of late from the airlines! In addition to the previously announced New York routes from American and Delta, Icelandair will be bringing back their Halifax to Reykjavik route in 2024. The airline will offer three flights per week from May 31 through to mid October. Maritime residents can use this flight to go shop at Costco just outside of Reykjavik so they can earn 5x points with their Cobalt Card 😉 Click here to learn more.
