Air Canada adding onboard Live TV to inflight service

Starting today Air Canada will begin offering Live TV onboard select domestic flights. There will be six sports and news channels available. TSN, TSN2, RDS, CTV News Channel, LCN and BNN Bloomberg. The timing couldn’t be better with the FIFA World Cup just underway and Canada participating in one of the world’s biggest sporting event for the first time in 36 years. Of course hockey and other sports fans won’t be disappointed either! An Air Canada spokesperson states the onboard Live TV will be expanded with more content and features in 2023.

Live TV is presently available on domestic routes from coast to coast operated with a Live TV-enabled aircraft. Currently 40 Boeing 777, Boeing 787, Airbus A330 and Airbus A220 aircraft are Live TV-enabled, and Air Canada expects 50% of domestic flights operated by mainline aircraft to offer Air Live TV by the second of quarter 2023.

Up to 100% bonus when you buy IHG One Rewards points

IHG One Rewards is the latest program to launch a buy points bonus and depending on the member that bonus can be as high as 100%. Personally I received an 80% offer but others are reporting a 100% bonus. If you do receive the 100% bonus offer you end up buying IHG One Rewards Points for US$ 0.5 cents each before taxes. This is an OK price to buy points at if you know you’ll be using them and soon and can pull more value out of them for your redemption.
