WestJet and Flair Airlines are discontinuing select U.S. routes
Both WestJet and Flair made updates to their Winter 2023/24 schedules that sees some key U.S. routes being discontinued:
WestJet
Calgary – Phoenix Mesa
Calgary – Portland OR
Toronto – Los Angeles
Toronto – Phoenix Mesa
Toronto – San Juan

You would think WestJet could make a go of Toronto to Los Angeles for Canadian vacationers however it isn’t surprising they are cutting it seeing that Air Canada flies the route with internationally configured widebody aircraft on several of the flights! Not to mention AC provides more flights and more connections in YYZ so WestJet just can compete and the aircraft can be used on other more profitable routes.
IHG introduces Wi-Fi Auto Connect feature
IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched a Wi-Fi Auto Connect feature for IHG One Rewards members who have the IHG mobile app. This new feature will allow member’s mobile devices to automatically connect to a hotel’s Wi-Fi when they arrive without the need to login. Click here to learn more.
With this new solution, guests who opt-in via their mobile devices will join the internet upon entering a hotel without having to worry about separate login codes or passwords, saving time and enjoying a better user experience. A one-time set-up is required via the app where the member user can enable auto connection via settings. The functionality empowers guests visiting a hotel for a meeting, overnight stay or dining at a restaurant in a hotel.
