Earlier in the week we brought you the details of Porter Airlines product enhancements in anticipation of them taking delivery of their first Embraer jets. In today’s airline schedule updates the first routes for the new aircraft have been revealed. We all knew the aircraft would start flying from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) but we didn’t know where to. Now we know it will be Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. The new aircraft and routes will launch in February 2023 after the airline completes crew familiarization and training on the planes.
Toronto Pearson – Montreal
The YYZ-YUL route will launch on February 2 with 3x daily service and move to 4x daily as of February 7:

There you have it! Porter’s first routes with their new Embraer E195 jets. It’s exciting to see the airline’s first service to the West starting up soon. We know many more cities and routes will be announced in the coming months – my guess for Calgary due to their western themed Raccoon will have to wait until those further announcements.
