WestJet will be adding no less than six new routes to the U.S. in 2025 including flights to three cities they have not served before – Anchorage, Raleigh/Durham and Salt Lake City. Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver take equal share of all the new routes with Calgary gaining two of the new cities (Anchorage and Raleigh/Durham) while Edmonton will get third with the new direct flight to Delta Airlines’ hub of Salt Lake City.

Vancouver – Boston eff 09JUN25 4 weekly 737-800/MAX 8 (5 weekly from 24JUN25, 1 daily from 02JUL25, 6 weekly from 01SEP25, 5 weekly from 21SEP25, 4 weekly from 28SEP25)
Vancouver – Tampa eff 14JUN25 1 weekly 737-800/MAX 8

WestJet Rewards members earn 1 to 8 points per dollar spent on eligible base fares, surcharges and extras. If you pay for the flights with the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard you’ll earn 2 points/$ spent on the entire purchase while the WestJet RBC Mastercard will earn 1.5 points/$ on the purchase.

If you don’t have a WestJet credit card your best bet to racking up as many points or miles possible when booking flights with them is to use a card with a travel accelerator. These include the American Express Gold Rewards Card, BMO AscendTM World Elite®* Mastercard®* and The Platinum Card®
You can also choose to credit the flights to Delta SkyMiles, Air France KLM Flying Blue or Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Redeeming for these flights
WestJet Rewards members can redeem points to help pay for the base fares, taxes and fees on these flights and can choose to use their co-brand credit card companion vouchers when travelling with two or more people.
Members of Delta SkyMiles, Air France KLM Flying Blue and Qantas Frequent Flyer can also use their respective miles or points to redeem for flights on WestJet. AIR MILES is also a partner with WestJet where you can redeem miles via the AIR MILES Travel portal for these flights.
The non-WestJet credit cards listed above and many others like them also allow you to redeem points towards those flight charges once it posts to your credit card account.
