WestJet launching Halifax to Amsterdam flights

WestJet will be launching a new Transatlantic flight this summer from Halifax to Amsterdam. This marks the airline’s return to AMS after a brief stint flying there from YYC several years ago. The new route ties in perfectly with WestJet and WestJet’s partner airlines Air France and KLM for servicing the latter two airline’s hubs in Amsterdam and Paris from the largest cities across Canada. All that’s left now is Winnipeg!

The new Halifax to Amsterdam route

This new summer seasonal service between Halifax and Amsterdam will launch on May 29 and operate up to 6x weekly with Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.

The schedule for this new route is as follows:

YHZ-AMS Dep 2345 Arr 1100+1
AMS-YHS Dep 1400 Arr 1620
