Our feature on the best credit cards to use at Empire Company grocery stores (Sobeys, Safeway, Foodland, IGA etc.) has been updated for 2024. These are the key changes for this year:
- New values based on 2024 average spend of $16,297.20
- ️Desjardins Cash Back World Elite Mastercard drops from 6th to out of the top 10 due to its new $10,000 spending cap on groceries. This has allowed the CIBC Dividend Platinum Visa Card to move into 10th spot.

New Amex Offers statement credit for Burberry
One new Amex Offers statement credit was added today for Burberry:
Spend at least $600 in qualifying purchases using your registered Card at participating Burberry location(s), at https://ca.burberry.com/?language=en or on Burberry’s mobile application by 31/05/2024 and earn a one-time $120 statement credit. Terms apply.
Simply log in to your Amex account or go onto the Amex app to see if these offers have been sent to you and to register for them. You can find this and many more offers in our Guide to American Express Canada ‘Amex Offers’
Personally I received this offer on The Platinum Card from American Express but you may receive it on a different card.
