Earning Points & Miles on these flights
Porter Airlines VIPorter members earn 5 to 7 points per dollar spent on these flights based on their level within the program. You can boost your mileage earning even more if you book these flights via the AIR MILES Travel portal as the latter now awards miles based on your flight spend.
Another mileage earning option that will hopefully be live by the time this route is with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan. Currently Mileage Plan members who book Porter Airlines on Alaska’s site can earn miles on those flights but that will be expanded to all Porter flights booked via any method later in 2024.
Porter Airlines VIPorter program does not have their own co-brand credit cards so your best bet to racking up as many points or miles possible when booking flights with them is to use a card with a travel accelerator. These include the American Express Cobalt® Card, BMO AscendTM World Elite®* Mastercard®* and The Platinum Card®
Redeeming Points & Miles on these flights
Porter Airlines VIPorter can redeem points for these flights either in full or partial with the program’s Dollars+Points redemption option.
With the forthcoming expanded Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan partnership you will be able redeem Mileage Plan miles on Porter flights. Chances are these will follow the Mileage Plan partner award chart which would mean these new routes would fall into the 2,101 – 4,000 miles band that requires 17,500 Mileage Plan Miles for a one way economy class award flight and 22,500 miles for one way premium economy.
The credit cards listed above and many others also allow you to redeem points towards those flight charges once it posts to your credit card account. AIR MILES is also a partner with Porter Airlines where you can redeem miles via the AIR MILES Travel portal for these flights.
