The soon to be expanding moi Rewards is offering 250 bonus points to new members who join the program by October 31, 2024. Once you receive the 250 points you can use them at check out at a participating store for $2 off your bill.
I have to say it doesn’t seem like the easiest process to earn the bonus and I even struggled somewhat at writing my own explanation of how the bonus is awarded without confusing people. So it’s best to just quote the actual terms and conditions of the offer:
Exclusive offer for new members of the Moi program who join until October 31, 2024 and complete their enrollment on moiprogram.ca no later than four weeks following the first use of the Moi card in store. Once enrollment is completed, members can add the 250 points coupon to their Moi card by logging into their account or by downloading the My Metro, Jean Coutu & moi, Super C or Brunet & moi mobile app. There may be a delay of one hour before the coupon appears in the account. The coupon will be available on moiprogram.ca and in the mobile app of the chosen banner for four weeks following the first use of the Moi card. Offer valid in participating Metro, Super C, and Brunet stores in Quebec as well as Jean Coutu stores in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick. Certain conditions apply. If I understand correctly, you have to use your new moi card once in a participating store, then complete your online enrollment within four weeks. Once that is done, you’ll receive a coupon for the 250 points which you then have to add to your Moi card via the app and it is only available within that same first four week period and has to be used at whatever your chosen banner store is. Do I have that right? I’m not really sure I do to be honest with you…. and you to have to do all of that for an immensely huge reward of $2? I feel like Metro consulted National Bank on how they could make something more convoluted than it needs to be.
If you are in Ontario you may want to wait until Metro stores in your province join the program (so that you are safely within the four week period) and also to see if the Ontario stores will be added to the offer since it is currently only Metro stores in Quebec and New Brunswick participating. However if you shop at Jean Coutu in Ontario you could go ahead with this bonus right away since those stores are already participating.
