Aeroplan Manulife Partnership

Air Canada & Manulife partner up to award points to Group Benefits members

Air Canada Aeroplan and Manulife have announced a new multiyear partnership which will offer Aeroplan Points to members to encourage and reward activities that support better health and wellness.

“With the addition of Aeroplan in early summer 2024, eligible Group Benefits members will be able to earn points for health and benefits-related activities, all while managing their overall wellbeing – from prevention to getting care – through an integrated and personalized experience. By engaging in health and wellness challenges, members will have the opportunity to earn points for completing healthy initiatives, like exercise minutes, mindfulness practices, and more. In addition, points will be rewarded for completion of educational courses and helpful benefits tips and tricks, like downloading the digital benefit card.”

Details of how points will be earned will be revealed in the coming months. We do know that Aeroplan members who do have group benefits with Manulife will need to link their account with their Manulife digital account to be able to partake in the points earning “for completing health programs and initiatives within the Manulife digital experience.”

This is reminds me of the old Carrot app, remember, the one that used to be for B.C. only but many Canadians signed up anyways by using a B.C. postal code? It then further expanded to Ontario and several other provinces and would reward you with Aeroplan Points, Scene Points, Petro-Points etc. for completing well being and healthier lifestyle surveys as well as for taking a certain amount of steps everyday! Carrot shut down around 2019 after they could not secure financing to continue on.
