Hilton’s New Hotel Openings in Canada for 2025

Welcome to part one of RWRDS Canada’s annual series on new hotel openings in Canada! This year we kick things off with Hilton Hotels who are looking at another decent sized expansion in our great country. At the time of posting this article Hilton are planning on opening no less than 10 new hotels in 4 provinces. Let’s take a look at what Hilton has in store for 2025 in Canada!

Hilton Hotels falls into the category of a major worldwide hotel chain with over 8,000 hotels globally and have a significant presence here in Canada that will grow past 200 hotels in ten provinces this year.

The Hilton family of hotels comprises of 24 brands ranging from nice budget hotels with the Hampton Inn brand to ultra luxurious hotels from the iconic Waldorf Astoria brand and here in Canada you can stay with twelve of these brands.

For 2025 there are 10 planned Hilton openings in Canada, several of which were originally planned for 2024 but were moved to this year. Check out last year’s new Hilton Hotel openings here

The 10 new Hilton Hotels

Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown

 

The Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown is situated only a few blocks from the Bow River and within walking distance to much of downtown via the connected +15 network. The hotel features 151 Kohler-inspired guest rooms and notably there are only 12 rooms per floor!

 

 

Amenities at this location include a state-of-the-art fitness centre with panoramic city views and first-class equipment and all guests will also enjoy Hampton’s signature complimentary breakfast and high-speed Wi-Fi.

 

 

For meetings and events the property boasts a 16th-floor boutique space that spans 1,200 sq. ft., offering panoramic skyline views.

The Brock Niagara Falls Fallsview, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Most recently known as the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls – Fallsview Hotel, Niagara Fall’s first high rise hotel is moving to Hilton as a Tapestry Collection location and bringing back the building’s original name. The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview is undergoing a $15 million renovation that will see it re-imagined as a couples-focused boutique hotel (Tapestry Collection is Hilton’s very flexible independent hotels hotel brand)

 

 

All of the hotel’s 200+ rooms are receiving an elegant makeover (based on the new photos vs. what’s on the Crowne Plaza site) and much of the hotel’s public spaces are also being renovated.

The hotel will feature a new state-of-the-art fitness centre and the indoor pool is best described by the hotel itself:

“Experience our new Pool Oasis, opening Summer 2025. A refreshing escape featuring stunning design, luxurious loungers, and vibrant ambiance—perfect for relaxing, socializing, and soaking up relaxation in ultimate comfort.”

 

 

The hotel is located directly across from Niagara Falls and is walking distance to Niagara City Cruises and Clifton Hill. The hotel also has an indoor connection to Casino Niagara, Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, and Falls Avenue Resort.

Earn more points at these hotels!

Wrapping it up

With ten new hotels on tap for 2025, Hilton will officially eclipse the 200 location mark in Canada. It is nice to see Hilton continuing to expand their presence here and it is great for Canadian Hilton Honors members to have more locations to earn and burn points at domestically.

While we don’t have a Hilton co-branded credit card here in Canada – hopefully this steady growth will be incentive for them to do so. In the meantime you can convert American Express Membership Rewards points to Hilton Honors so that’s one avenue for you to rack up more points to redeem for free nights at these new or any other Hilton locations.
