For the better part of a year, Canadians have been able to earn Bonus Miles on their groceries with AIR MILES Receipts. Over the course of the past few months, we’ve seen this part of the program expand the products you can earn Bonus Miles on, dole out some big bonuses simply for scanning eligible receipts, and soon to make a move into the alcohol space.
An overview of AIR MILES Receipts
AIR MILES Receipts rewards collectors with Bonus Miles for purchasing select products at virtually any grocery store in Canada. In fact over 94% of receipts from grocery stores across Canada are eligible. No matter where you shop, there’s a good chance if you shop there you can earn these extra Bonus Miles.
Each week there is a different selection of products on offer which collectors can earn Bonus Miles on. If you purchase a qualifying product, all you need to do is scan your eligible receipt with that product on it via the AIR MILES App*, within 14 days of purchase and the Bonus Miles will be yours.
Depending on the grocery store you purchase from, you will also earn that store’s own loyalty program rewards, not to mention any points, Miles or cash back from the credit or debit card you use to make your purchase. For example, if you use a BMO AIR MILES Mastercard you’ll earn 2x the Miles for purchases at any Canadian grocery retailer. Talk about stacking the offers to earn even more value on grocery necessities.
