I recently visited the SilverKris Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport after my stop at the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in the same terminal. The SilverKris Lounge is situated at the far end of the same corridor as the Gold Lounge and upon entering, I was greeted by friendly agents at the reception desk. This lounge is divided into two sections: the Business Class and top-tier KrisFlyer lounge to the left, and the First Class passengers’ area on the right.

Upon stepping into this lounge, it became evident that it is more spacious in comparison to the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. There were comfortable sofa chairs right at the entrance, and a separate dining and food area adjacent to it. The dining area was separated from the main lounge by a spacious entrance. The lounge provided ample seating options, with rows of single comfy seats stretching 15 rows deep and a section featuring multiple chairs around small round tables.
If you have read my other reviews you’ll know one feature I particularly appreciate in lounges is a dedicated family room, and this lounge has a playroom albeit a somewhat unique one. The playroom was a small space equipped with a single couch and four plastic chairs, along with a television. It seemed more like a private area for guests to make phone calls or have quiet meetings rather than a space designed for children.
Kids’ Playroom
There was a washroom in the lounge, it is located in the corner of the food area with a changing room for babies. Additionally, the washroom area had several well-appointed shower stalls, each stocked with amenities such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, lotion, and mouthwash.

There are many of the same food offerings found in the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, however, there were additional options such as dimsum dishes, samosa, pakora, chapti, chicken nuggets, mussels, and much more. Personally, my favorite indulgence in this lounge was the mussels that were offered. I couldn’t resist having a few—they were not only delicious but of excellent quality as well. The layout of the food area was well-organized, with drinks on one side and food on the other, complemented by an island for dining. Altogether, it created a pleasant dining experience within the lounge.
Wrapping it up
In conclusion, my visit to the SilverKris Lounge was a positive experience. It offers ample space, dedicated amenities, and an expanded food selection compared to its counterpart. Whether you’re a Business Class or First Class passenger, this lounge provides a comfortable and enjoyable environment for travelers.
