When the Cathay World Elite Mastercard – powered by Neo was announced back in August, they provided an offer of 10% off Cathay flights for those who joined the wait list and applied for the card when it was released. When the card was officially launched last week there was no mention of a discount offer as seen for those who joined the wait list. There is good news however by way of Cathay Pacific as there is a new discount offer that looks to be open to all Cathay World Elite Mastercard cardholders.
The up to 10% discount on Cathay Pacific flights
Cardholders who use the promo code CXNEO10OFF and pay with their Cathay World Elite Mastercard – powered by Neo card will receive a 10% discount on Business, Premium Economy and Economy Flex and 5% on Economy Essential flights on Cathay Pacific departing from Canada. The code is valid for bookings made until December 31, 2024
The discount is valid on one way or round trip flights between Canada and Hong Kong SAR, Australia, Cambodia, Chinese Mainland, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan China, Thailand, or United Arab Emirates.
I believe this code can be used as many times as you like as there are no terms and conditions specifying otherwise.

Depending the fare purchase and the pricing at the time, this discount alone can more than pay for the annual fee on the card. Looks like Economy Flex is a 7% discount even though it is advertised as a 10% discount.
Wrapping it up
It’s great to see an additional benefit being offered on this card, even if it is a limited time offer. The launch of card last week revealed nothing terribly special about it other than the welcome bonus and the 2x miles for purchasing Cathay Pacific flights. The remainder of the benefits on the card are afforded to all Cathay members and holders of other World Elite Mastercards. Having this flight discount makes the card’s $180 annual fee a little bit of an easier pill to swallow.
