The British Airways Club has launched a reward flight sale where members will receive up to 40% off reward flights to or from London Heathrow Airport, London City Airport or London Gatwick Airport!
The up to 40% off reward flights sale
The offer applies to both peak and off-peak Avios Reward Flights in World Traveller, Euro Traveller (Economy) and Club Europe (business) and does work from Canada despite my not being able to find the offer page on the Canadian BA site.
The discount varies by route and peaks at 40%.
British Airways routes out of Canada:
- Montreal – London Heathrow
- Toronto – London Heathrow
- Vancouver – London Gatwcik
- Vancouver – London Heathrow
This is a great deal if you were someone who just recently transferred RBC Avion Rewards points to Avios during the 30% bonus that ended last week. It’s an even better deal if you have or will transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points that you earned with the 5x points off the Cobalt Card.
The sale must be booked by July 23 and is good for travel between August 1 and December 18, 2025 and January 5 and February 11, 2026.
40% off Reward Flight Example
Here’s just one example of a round trip economy class flight reward between Toronto and London Heathrow:
This example is 40% off a Reward Saver flight which is normally 50,000 Avios and $200. You could still potentially get the flight for less Avios at 26,000 round trip but you’ll being paying upwards of $500 or more in fees – so it is way better go for the 30,000 Avios +$200 you can find with this reward sale
And to think that’s only $6,000 in spending in the 5x points eats and drinks on the Cobalt Card to get this economy class round trip flight.! That is simply untouchable by any other card in Canada! This is a stupidly good deal for Cobalt cardmembers! You’ll likely want to transfer today (or at the latest by Friday) from Amex Membership Rewards to make sure the Avios are in your account before the booking deadline of July 23rd!
